Jhoots Pharmacy Cottingham

Please see the below update we have received from the Humber and North Yorkshire ICB regarding Jhoots Pharmacy

You are aware over recent months that the above pharmacy has had consistent, unplanned closures. This has resulted in some patients taking steps to nominate a different pharmacy to have their medication dispensed.

We were made aware last night that there is a notice in the window of the premises to say they have been peaceable re-possessed. This has been confirmed by the manager at Jhoots this morning who has advised that there are discussions ongoing.

As a result of the recent challenges, and the fact that the pharmacy is now currently closed, patients who are currently receiving their medication from Jhoots pharmacy may now want to take the opportunity to nominate another Community Pharmacy in

the area to have their medication dispensed.

They can do this via their NHS App, going into another Community Pharmacy of their choice or through their General Practice.

This will ensure patients are given choice, consistent care and will hopefully reduce the risk of them not receiving their medication in a timely manner.

A list of local NHS Pharmacies can be found at www.nhs.uk In addition, there are many distance selling pharmacies who can dispense and deliver medication without the need for face to face interaction with the patients.
